We offer a variety of clinical consultation, supervision and training services to help you deliver effective, adherent care for your patients and to help you build a clinical service that is competitive and best serves your patients and clients
OHayerPsych has expertise in treatment, supervision, training, and consultation regarding services designed to help the following patient populations:
Clinical supervision is essential in order to learn a new treatment, apply it effectively, and maintain treatment fidelity. Dr. O'Hayer offers supervision in DBT, ACT, MIndfulness-based interventions, and trans-affirming therapies. Supervision modalities include live supervision ("bug in the ear"), review of videotaped sessions, and case formulation. Supervision can occur in-office or via webcam.
Clinical Consultation ensures that your clinic or service is best equipped to effectively serve your intended patient population. Adaptations of evidence-based treatments (such as ACT, DBT, CBT) to chronic illnesses, rare diseases, racial and gender minorities are among the consultation services most frequently requested at OHayerPsych. Development of trans-affirming programs, including groups, clinics, and in-patient services. Design of clinical trials to expand your clinical successes to a larger volume of patients.
Clinical Training is vital to remain up-to-date regarding evidence-based treatments and their applications to a wide variety of patient populations. OHayerPsych offers training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for small or large groups - trainings can be introductory (3 hours, 1 day), or intermediate (2-5 days). Training can occur in person or via webcam. Trans-competence trainings are encouraged for people working with trans and gender expansive patients. A wide body of research suggests that trans/non-binary/gender-expansive patients often avoid mental health treatment in order to avoid the burden of having to "educate" their providers about all things trans. Training to improve your trans-competence will help you best reach and serve your trans/gender expansive and non-binary patients.
